Maya's Corner Café
I literally stumbled upon vibrant Maya’s Corner Café while touring around the Sultanahmet area in the historical part of Istanbul. Note to self: Don’t wear flip flops on cobblestone streets. Anyways, after my spill I enjoyed a homemade Iced Tea that was decorated up with gorgeous purple flowers.
My friend had a Turkish tea and the lovely lady that works there gave him a turkish delight which I heard was customary when you order a tea or coffee.
Since my first visit was so enjoyable, I decided to come back again and try one of their cappuccino’s which was delicious whilst being decorated to magazine style perfection.
It’s just fun to hang out here and watch the locals and tourists in action. This was my happy place and probably one of my favorite and most charming café’s I have visited in my lifetime travels.
If you happen to be staying in the Old town part of Istanbul, then I bet you will be coming here daily for your caffeine fix, and if you are planning to sight see on this side, then make sure you stop by this cozy little place that puts all the sweet touches on everything they serve.
