Wine tasting room at D’Oliva.
D’Oliva is a quaint place to savour a guided tasting of some of the best premium olive oil and wine Spain has to offer. Its located in the heart of Old town Marbella and you have over 80 delicious varieties of Spanish olive oil to choose from, along with an incredible selection of vino. I think I tried 8 different olive oils paired with balsamic, and I can tell you that all of them tasted like Liquid Gold. I don’t know about you, but I love premium olive oil on almost everything I eat! I actually could drink it – its so delicious – so book a tasting or just drop in like I did and the owner David will give you an amazing experience! D’Oliva Olive oil rivals some of the best that I have tasted from both Greece and Italy so come and taste for yourself.
D’Oliva also has a colourful selection of soaps and beauty products that come in an array of pretty pastel colours along with gourmet jams. Anything you buy here is the perfect gift for someone special or take it home for yourself to enjoy.
Plaza de los Naranjos aka “the Orange Square” is one of Marbella’s hidden gems that is surrounded by – you guessed it – luscious Sevilla Orange Trees. You are allowed to pick the oranges, but apparently they are very bitter and sour that they can only be used for baking purposes.
After enjoying some tapas from the array of Andalusian restaurants to choose from, I enjoyed just hanging out in the square and soaking in the sun with an afternoon café!
Old Town Marbella is a little slice of tranquility away from the nearby luxurious beach resorts. The moment you enter you get a taste of old world charm, Andalusian culture and cuisine and some of the finest tapas restaurants with live music!
